Galaxia questions

I was thinking about getting a galaxia coral but i would like to do some research before i buy it.
1.I have power compacts would it survive?
2. how long are the sweeper tentacles?
3. Can the sweeper tentacles kill a fish or coral?

1- It will survive under CF lighting but needs to be placed higher up in the rocks. Does BEST under brighter lighting though.
We threw a piece in a JBJ Nano cube and its been happily growing for 4 mths although the mother colony has been thriving under MH in another tank

2- Sweeper tentacles can get very long on these and up to 10" on bigger ones.

3-It can sting and kill some other corals if it comes in contact with its sweepers. My fish just seem to avoid it.

With all that said I have a pice thats been in my systems for close to 3 yrs now with no issues.

I have had mine for about 5-6 months now under 260 watts of pc lighting, halfway up the tank. Doing good. I do plan on switching to t5 this week or next week though. I think I will get better coloration out of it when I do.

As for my fish, never bothered any of them. My coral banded shrimp will walk all over it too.

With that being said, I have heard a lot of nightmare stories about them stining everything in peoples tanks with their 10" reach.
