Galaxy Coral placement

I have 2 frags of Galaxy coral, also called Tooth coral I think, that are doing rather well. This is my first "hard" coral and I got it from my friend. A few pieces broke of his so he gave them to me. I glued them on to some snail shells and they have grown from that. I left them on the sand since that is where he had his. The skeleton has grown around the shell and begun to expand. I am curious as to whether these will do good up on the rocks, or if they will fuse to the rock and make it hard to get off, and frag :)

Here is a shot when I first got them. I will tyr to get a growth shot after my tank clears up, doing water change and such today.

Some of mine broke off and I just stuck the little piece into a hole in the rock. It is now the size of a quarter and has spread out over and into the rock so it's there for good.

Another thing to keep in mind is that they put out some killer sweepers. Mine currently is putting out some sweepers in the 4-6 inch range.

yeah I have seen the sweepers. I have only soft corals right now. So these were and experiment. The one that has grown the most is directly in the center front of my tank on the sand. It has grwon quite a bit. I have to pick it up to see any spot of the original shell. The other is located on the side of the tank where my power head is. It has not grown as quickly as the other. It was slightly smaller though, with only 3 heads. I was concerned about them fusing to the rocks and not being able to remove them for fragging. I think you need a band saw or bone cutters to frag them too.

I have my little frag on the Rock that I just got. I would like to know if it can be kept by a Hammer or Frog Spawn?

Here is two shots I just took. So growth since May.

I don't target feed them with anything and I put them in areas where they will get decent flow. I dose my tank every other day with home grown phyto so I think that helps.
