[GAME] Free PE Mysis!!!

Due to slow traffic in our forums lately, Matt (Fishboy42) and I have decided to conduct a little game. The objective of this little game is to spur more traffic to our forum, as well as, create an interesting atmosphere. These games will allow us to learn more about other ETRC members and what their interests are. Hopefully, this will help for future topics and other relevancies for the club.

Winner of this receives a frozen package of Piscine Energetics Mysis shrimp!

The Rules:
1. The 20th post wins the PE Mysis
2. A maximum of 2 posts per person in this thread. The reason for this is that it allows one post for building post count and another post for the chance to win. (After the 20th post has been reached, comments are allowed.)
3. For each post, you must put one of your favorite fish and, preferably, a picture.
4. Only ETRC members are eligible to win the prize. (Non-ETRC members are welcome to post favorite fish to increase post count. Two posts limit still applies.)

Have Fun and enjoy. Let the games begin! :fun4:

I will start with one of my favorite fish.

Synchiropus picturatus
SPOTTED MANDARIN

Why? One of my first fish in the hobby and, IMO, one of the easiest fish to keep. Assuming you have the pod population.

Ok so the goby shrimp pair (while not a single fish) is still one of my favorites. It's awesome in that you can watch them interact in a symobiotic way and they ultimately can provide hours of entertainment (assuming you can find where they are in your tank).

The game is afoot!

I'll contribute to the post count at least :)

One of my favorite fish is the garibaldi damselfish (Hypsypops rubicundus). I enjoyed watching them when we lived in CA. Someday I will devote an appropriately-sized and chilled tank to keep one...

Great idea Matt and Donny... :)

Well, for right now my favorite fish is the Centropyge Interruptus... I'll eventually have one... But for now I'll be happy with my Multicolor and have the Interruptus remain on my wish list... :) I'm hoping that I can visit RCT if Ashley and I go to Hawaii for our honeymoon... We'll see!!!!!

I really love my new tail spot blenny. Not anything super expensive or really bright colors, just a small fish that is fun to watch and has a really cool look and personality.

Well, the fish I've wanted for awhile, but very virtually impossible to get. I tend to like stuff that you don't see everyday, and this guy qualifies:
Belonoperca pylei Baldwin & Smith, 1998, aka Dr. Seuss Fish, orange-spotted soapfish
range: Cook Islands
collection depth: >60 m

Just too damn cool!

He rules the tank!

And I will try a fancy welcome to you Zombi....

:welcome:
To Reef Central

OK I tried to remember how to give you the big howdy but OH well. My second post to get it to 12 now :)

I've really got a thing for blue face angels right now.

The critter had one last week, may still have it, and it was gorgeous.

Here's one a certain person might like you'll likely not see in the trade in this country:

Trimma striata

You should modify the rules such that to win the 20th post must be your 2nd post. You've probably got people holding their 2 posts until the last minute to increase their odds of winning.

I hope this is not over the line.

My favorite is the one in my avatar. Much to the chagrin of the locals and my wife I had to revive him twice:rolleyes:

I love all the fish in my tanks equally....at least that's what they think....... I hope:p

Second Post!

Xanthichthys caeruleolineatus
BLUELINED DEEPWATER

Triggers are friggin sweet! But, ultra-rare triggers are friggin super sweet.

I figured getting this to 18 would probably kick it over the edge since everyone is waiting and no one is posting. I can't win it anyway so I'll post a pic of a fish I like with no explanation needed.
