They will except mysis and brine just fine but they need a very deep sand bed to thrive. 6-8" as they spend their entire lives in the sand and do get quite large ( 14-16")
frozen cyclopeeze, chopped/minced mysis, and occasionally some live brine would be great. as mentioned, a very deep sand bed, and slow-eating tank mates, as they will typically only extend ~6" out of their burrow to snag food as it comes by. they also ship very poorly, but the ones who survive the initial die-off usually do fine. one of my all-time favorite animals. try to mimic a setting like this:
