garf order

im looking at placing an order through garf and was woundering if anyone wanted to go in on the order. they are offering 7 corals for the price of 5, which is $100. i know shipping last time was like $50. i know$150 is kinda steep, but you get 7 great corals. you can do either all sps, half sps and soft, are all soft. i am going to do all sps this time. the last oder i made with them was great, everything lived and i am told that there sps's are top notch. just a thought let me know.

no you have to call and see what they have avaliable at the time. i called about an hour ago and talked to them for a little bit. most of what they have are acros of one color are another. the frags will not be huge, they are normally 1"-2". let me see if i can find a link to some of the pics of the tanks they get there cuttings from.

I wouldn't order from them. The frags are extremely small.

dave is right that the frags are small. but i feel for what you get for $100 i had rather get 7 small frags than 2 normal sized colonys. i personaly like smaller frags it makes it easier to place and move around, but to each his own.

Chad, I agree with Dave about Garf. Frags are small(fingernail sized) and there have been alot of unsatisfied people lately dealing with Garf (everything from not getting their order to the order being completely wrong). Check the vendor experience forum and also do a search.

You might want to look at ReeferMadness, they have a 20 for $200 deal going on and that includes shipping if I am not mistaken. You can mix and match SPS and LPS on it if you like.
RM Frag Packs
I got my rock from them and the owner has called me to follow up and thank me for the post I had made with the pics of the rock. They always get good reviews and when people have voiced a problem you almost always see that they were taken care of.

Chad, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to kill your plan but I have personally seen two Garf frag orders. The frags are EXTREMELY small and I personally wasn't impressed with the brilliance of the corals themselves.

i know dave, i've just gotten one order from them and had great success with the frags and the company. the other thing i like about them is the variety they offer. the normal frag packs you get are just normal acros our monty plates. i was wanting something a little more unique. maybe i will just keep looking around for a better deal

We need more info on the Reefer Madness frag pack. As long as all 20 frags are different I would go with that. We could split it 4 or 5 ways. Its only $210 shipped.

The one time I ordered from Reefermadness, I ordered and extra frag so I could get above a certain dollar amount so I could get a free frag special. I told him I wanted a cool sps. Maybe brown montipora digitata is rare in California?
