Are all Gargonians Non PhotoSynthetic? I have seen many of the gargonians that have a blue polyps on an orangish-brown stalk in reef tanks. They always seem to be open and doing well in reef tanks.

No.. not all gogonians are NonPhotoSynthetic....
Gorgonians that look like this are nonphotosynthetic

Hopefully this image comes out. This is what I am talking about. Commonly refered to as a blueberry gorgonian.

Actually now that I read the cation under the picture I see that it is a NPS type. That amazes me that they are NPS but are still so common now days.

Yup.. .blueberry gorgonians are the most difficult NON photosynthetic gorgonian to keep.
Requires 24x7 feedings for it to thrive.
