Gauging Interest: Hawaiian Flame Wrasse Harem

My sister from Hawaii is telling of a friend that can capture Hawaiian Flame Wrasse Harems of 1 male and 3 females...$200 for the harem. They will be net caught, NO CYANIDE!!! Live arrival guarantee... Also looking into a price on Mystery Wrasse pairs...

Are you interested in the Flame Wrasse or Mystery Wrass? Not sure what you mean by getting some sort of license to get these... do you mean to catch them? I'm sure there is some sort of permit or license you need to get...

asked my sister if it was the guy you mentioned, she said it wasn't. did he also net catch fish in Hawaii? Are you interested in joining in on this buy?

I'm hoping to get at least 4 people so that we can split shipping.

There used to be a guy who net caught fish himself and sold them direct to hobbyists under the site I posted above. I believe he was based in HI but also traveled to catch more exotic fish. It's a shame he stopped because the fish were all apparently super healthy. Probably something about not being in bare holding tanks for weeks. ;)

I'm sorry but I don't have room for a flame wrasse. :(

Update: We're needing to get 5 Hawaiian Flame Wrasse harems and/or 5 Mystery Wrasse pairs in order to keep it at that price (cannot be combined). What he's telling me is that the 2 species come from different areas and depths so to make it worth the dive, that's how he wants it. Whichever way this goes, I'm in for either or both. Also, we're looking at about a 2 week wait with a storm hitting Hawaii right now.

palileo: If I get a Flame Wrasse Harem, is there any possiblilty of you being able to hold them for me for a week or so, until I can make it up your way? I'm going to be in you area in a few weeks, but i'm not sure on the date yet...

you could always restructure your fish plan.
