Gauging Interest - Sequence DART and SNAPPER fs

I'm just gauging interest right now. I'm thinking about going a different direction with my return pump and may sell my Dart and Snapper. The Dart has an AO Smith motor and is currently in use with ~2 years use on it. The Snapper has a Fasco motor and has hardly been run (it's my back up pump).

I think the pumps are worth $150 each.

They run fine but are probably due for some new seals. Sequence offers seal kits for ~$30 shipped... I'll split the cost of that up front (you can decide if you want to replace the seals or not)... so $135 for each pump.

Anyone interested?

I might be interested in the Dart. My Dolphin Amp Master is tripping my GFI and might need to be replaced. I need to take a look at it this weekend.

Yikes... well, if you decide to replace it and you're still interested in the Dart just let me know.

Jacob,
I will be buying a NW Dart soon for my new Protein skimmer im building. i would just need to find out if i could get a needle wheel impeller for the dart. If so ill take it when your ready if Qwiv dont need it first. Ill let you know if i can get the impeller.

Hi Rob. In general I won't recommend any equipment that I haven't personally used... so with the Dart Orca all I can say is that I know they've been used on some big skimmers, such as the Volcano (no longer in production). If you're building a BIG skimmer I can understand why you're considering it but as far as performance I can only regurgitate what's posted on the web.

That link you provided is for the replacement impeller that you would want for a skimmer application. FWIW that impeller could be put into a Snapper also, which is just a Dart with a smaller impeller. I'm 99% sure about that.

WOW Rob, that's going to be one hell of a skimmer!

MyReefCreations.com and some I-tech Skimmers are using a Reeflo currently so yu may want to check into those and see if there is any feedback on various forums, etc.

Drop the guys at ReeFlo a note or call them about what you are looking to do and they can help you out. Chris is the guy you'd probably want to talk to. They're based in Colorado.
