Gauging interest: T5 URI super actinic bulbs

can you pm me a price for the (60" Retrofit: 3-80W T5 HO Fluorescents) w/actinic bulbs? im using them as a supplement w/my 10K XM halides.

Never used T5's before so i dont know which actinic bulbs to go with...please pm me w/suggestions on bulbs too.

john37, I'll PM you the pricing info for the retrofit kit. As for the bulbs, if you are looking for actinic supplementation, I'd go with the DD Blue+.
Maybe add one DD actinic to the mix, but I think the blue+ gives better color, IMO.

I got some news today, the UVL/URI 48" 54w bulbs are being shipped first, and there is a chance they will be available by the end of this week. If that works out, I will be able to bring them over to gho's place on Saturday.

The 24" and 39" inch bulbs are expected by early next week, it will not be here by swap time at gho's.

Some of you already indicated that you'd be picking up at my workplace in Fountain Valley. For the folks in the LA area, what would work for you?

yes LA people let me know i have a lot of stuff coming in. i can pick up on a weekend and hold the bulbs for you guys if people give me a couple bucksfor gas money...I live by downtown 90026, closer than southern OC....

I'm going to add the pick up location to the update list, please confirm if it is correct. Pick up locations so far are:

At reefgeek (RG), after I pick up the orders, I'll need to sort it out, and leave the individual orders with Greg.
With Gabriel (bebo77), he will be picking up a lot of stuff and has offered to pick up for others in the LA area.
In OC area, at my work place in Fountain Valley near Tongs, or TBD.

Ah I just checked their site and mapquested it. They're in Hawthorne which is a little past LAX on the 405 if you're coming from LA/the Valley. I think I'll just go pick up mine directly from RG since I have friends that live right next door in El Segundo and go to that area all the time

I checked with Greg, and there is some bad news.
The first batch of the bulbs (54w) were already shipped (from east coast) but will not arrive until Tuesday. The second batch (24w/39w) is schedule to be available later next week too.

Sorry, looks like they will not make it here in time for the swap

Gabriel, I can have it for you at RG as well, whichever is easier.

Unfortunately, since this is all in one order, I need to wait until the other bulbs (24w and 39w) arrive. Really sux, I could really use some new bulbs, mine are 14 months old :eek1:
