GBTA and GSM sting?

I have a GBTA and on sat. I got a gold stripe maroon clown, and he went straight to the nem. Now he is hanging around under the petal of the nem. He appears to have a line of spots on him now could he have been stung? When I bought him he did not have a nem and was just swimming around so maybe he did not have his tolerance built up.

*the GBTA is hanging under a ledge so there is space between the petal and the rock that the clown is hanging around in.
