gbta question

o.k. this gbta that decided to play with the powerhead

it is doing pretty good opens up has some missing tenticals but othewise peachy
now i noticed today when i went to feed it i could see the rock base it was on thru it's mouth,now it's opened looks healthy
water is fine no ammonia,nitrates,nitrites,ph is 8.2-8.4, water temp is 79
i have never seen this or maybe never noticed this before,any ideas?
maybe a split?

My RBTA, has moved behind a rock and can see through its mouth onto the rock also.. so yup have seen it to, not sure whats wrong with it either, other than it might be acclimatising to my tank.

I feed it every other day without any problems, just hope it shows itself once its happy.

Try feeding it? Just woke up to find my rbta had made its way out from behind the rocks and its mouth had closed up and is looking normal again
