Hello Guys,

I bought a GBTA from the WYSIWYG section of Reefhotspot.com and in the picture they showed the anemone was completely green but when I received it was brownish with the tips a bit green. It's not bleached. Here is a picture from Reefhotspot... I will try to post on of the Anemone in my tank in a little bit if I can get a good picture. Could it be the lights? I have two 14k 250w MH and two 96w PC Actinics?

Things don't look proper under normal house lighting. Do you have a picture of it under your tank lighting with actinics on?

Those pictures where taken with the with the MH and Actinic on.. Even when the actinic are the only ones on it still looks the same...

IMHO,I think they sent the wrong anemone!But for this to happen over a short period time is just shocking!

I'd contact them ASAP. Oh, and darn you I wanted that BTA

Usually they are pretty good about telling you what type of light was used for photo. Looks like alot of actinic to bring ou that kind off green. Call them, they are real helpful.

Well last night I sent an e-mail to Reefhotspot and today I got a response from them

Hello Eric,

Thank you for emailing us. We have pulled the pack sheet and can see that it is properly filled out but we can't do a back count of inventory because of the number of days since shipping. Anemones tend to be one of the more difficult to manage WYSIWYG items. We run a dedicated anemone line at our facility and segregate WYSIWYG Anems from the main population. Did the animal seem to lose color over time or was it delivered with the same color represented in the photos?
