i have only had mine a week and it seemed to be ok not bleached or nothing it went right on a rock was ok till i feed it on day two and since that it stays deflated for awhile and then back up so is this norm or do i need to be on alert thanx for any info

No, not necessarily. They deflate and inflate as part of acclimation and sometimes when expelling waste also. Assuming the water conditions are in good shape, I wouldn't worry.

yes water is fine maybe jumping the gun i hope so i have it under 195 watts pc is that the issue maybe ? i just hate not knowing oh well i guess time will tell :( thax for the reply

If it started doing it after feeding, it's most likely expelling waste. If it does it regularly (more than once or twice a day) or for more than a few hours at a time, it may be cause for concern.

In that small of a tank (29 gallon) you should have plenty of light with 195 watts PC. I would say keep the anemone in the upper half of the aquarium and lean toward daylight bulbs instead of actinics. Also, PC's need to be changed around 8 or 9 months.

Ive had my GBTA for several years now and it has done the exact same thing regularly since the day i got him. I had an RBTA previously in the same system that never did it.

As long as its eating and not roaming i think your fine. Just keep an eye on its color and its stickiness.

well it has opened up again for how long i not know lol hope for awhile but cant be for sure mayby not use to the light i hope its that simple :D thanx for all the replys

He is close to the intake but doesn't actually touch and the holes are very small in the intake. He was open and pretty from about 7pm last night until about 1pm today then he closed up again. My 2nd set of lights come on at 12 so I think and hope he is just adjusting to the lighting in the tank.

In the pic, it looks perfectly healthy. I'm still a little nervous about the intake, but if you're sure it's ok I'll try to relax.

I'm sure he is fine. He seems very happy where he is but keeps closing up about an hour after all the lights cut on and comes back out about an hour or so after the big lights cut off. I hope thats normal and safe. Do ya think he will ever get used to the lighting or you think he is going to always do this?
Please do relax I am sure he is fine. We dont have a very powerful intake and he has been there a week and refuses to move lol so I guess it is comfy there.
Let me add he is out when the 65watt light is on but when the other 2 65watts kick on he closes up. They are all power compacts.
