GBTA

All that said you can prepare the perfect spot with all the things most bta should love and it will move somewhere else. Make sure your rockwork is stable so that nothing can topple over and injure it if it does decide to move, it's pretty big. Oh, by the way your tank looks like it will be the perfect home for your new baby.
: )

i have a lot of trouble with my rock work...they usually dont want to stay in place, i think cus lots of my rocks are all rounded...hm...yea, i have alot of rearranging to do. i had such a hard time already trying to get my leather to stay in place.

I prefer a few larger pieces to lots of small ones. I think a lot of us have struggled with this same problem. For my last project I purchased dry Fiji rock, very cheep. I placed only 3 pieces in my tank and I just turned them till they fit together snugly and was stable. This eliminates things shifting and falling down and apart which is so aggrivating. I am not suggesting you go out and get new rock it's just FYI.

that is only 3 pieces of rock?? that is true, then the smaller ones wont tumble down. i have around 3 big ones, and the others are between small to medium sized.
i wanted a rose BTA at first! cus i loved the bright red color. but my LFS got this green one and i had to have it haha. your rose is really cute! do you have a current FTS?

If I were you I would build it higher towards the middlle.
The little rose is my biocube, it is about only about 2 inches in diameter. This tank looks aweful, the rockwork is chopped up from the removal of my mini carpets.
Here is an old thread I found, from this past spring.

i love your aquascaping lmecher! ok, i will try to put all my rocks near the middle, i've always liked that kind of rockwork. its so cool once you change your rock work, your tank can look like a completely different tank!
the splitting of your RBTA is so cool! funny how it was on the glass and u got to see everything haha.
i went to visit the LFS yesterday, and my anemone was even more extended. looked much bigger! hopefully i can find a crevice big enough so that its foot can go in haha.

Always happy to share, thanks but I am getting sick of it. I just might be tearing it all down. Got a little problem in my filter area.

It's a molly miller blenny, added him then never saw him again. It has been about 3 weeks. I would like to get rid of all the corals maybe add a gbta, if I can find a nice one (like yours) I have some scratches on the inside of my glass. Considering a cadlight tank. It will be after the holidays, I's sure the blenny will be fine until then if I can't figure out a way to get him out. : )

thats funny, how did the blenny get in there? sigh. would you ever want a bigger tank?
hm..i wont have time to change my rockwork until thursday, for now, more research and searching for pictures for placement.

I am happy with the size, one case where bigger in not nessessarily better ha! My tank is in my kitchen, on to of an antique ice box. I have 2 more on my counter. I am going to replace the one on the ice box, new one will have to fit. I am really happy with the look. I spend most of my time in the kitchen so this is where I perfer to keep them. It is sanitary, no food prep in this area, next to computer/desk. I think I may be have the begining of an obsession, my newest tank, a 15 mini carpet prop is in another room. I think the 37 is not tempered because it is loaded w/scratches inside, this is the only tank that has scratches, a real bummer. Here I took a couple pictures, you'll see what I mean.

i am really starting to like the look of that type of tank. 37g cube. oceanic? i think i will be getting a cube in the future :p

No the 37 is not a cube, the one on the countertop is a Oceanic biocube. The 37 is actually an Oceanic but not a cube. It is very deep and hard to work on. To reach the bottom I am literally in the tank up to my armpit and you can't see what your doing, big drawback. It will be easier when I get rid of the corals, just anemones and fish.

I remodeled my tank last night to try to make a good spot for my anemone. i can either put it where the red circle is, but il'l have to move more stuff around since there isnt a definite hole right there (i couldnt see properly cus i caused a huge sand storm haha), or i can put it where the leather is sitting right now, green circle. what do you think?

Either place might be fine, they prefer to have their foot on the underside of the rock and then extend out and up toward the light.

Wow, looks great! I always have a hard time arranging the rocks, it can be frustrating can't it. You did a good job, I agree with garyb, I prefer red, but your anemone will have the last word.
When are you bring it home? After the holiday? Can't wait to see it.

thanks garygb and lmecher for the comments. yes, it was hard rearranging the rocks. plus i caused a HUGE sand storm and couldnt see where i was putting stuff, had to do it all by feel hahaha. so i kinda still have to rearrange a few things. also with this kind of arrangment, i feel that i have LOTS of space in my tank now hehe.
well i was thinking of first putting it on the green one, so that i can put more corals on the bigger mountain haha. but yea im sure the anemone will decide...but on the red it'll look nice too, it'll be my main feature attraction hehe.
actually im thinking of bringing it home either this friday or sunday! i dont think i can wait a month haha :p and everytime i got to the LFS he always asks me 'are you bringing it home today??' he probably has lots of people asking about it hehehe

Great, post a picture, anxiously waiting to finally see it in your tank and most importantly relax and enjoy. If you have concerns help is just a keyboard away. : )

Thank you, it is in need of attention, the mushrooms have grown way too big. Yikes!
I think it's I go mushroom picking.
