GE Silicone II

I just resealed my 120 w/ Sil I. I also read that Sil II contains mold inhibitors. The Sil I worked nice! Very smooth.

Just make sure it is GE Silicone 1 Window and Door. I heard there is also a Silicone 1 Kitchen and Bath. HTH

im wrong ge selicone 2 has mold and mildew protection in it and it is still 100% silicone ge 2 is not reef safe use !

Personally, the peace of mind is well worth the extra $ for the stuff rated for aquarium use.

With that said I have used GE sil 1 in the past with no issues.. Note, they do say "not intended for aquarium use" on the label. However I think its to cover their liability.

I have used silicone I in the past without the bioseal to reseal a 55. I tried tracking it down again this past week without any luck, as I found silicone I, but this time they didnt have the kind without bioseal... if you go this route, just make sure there are no mold or mildew prohibitors in it. I believe it is just a liability thing, as I'm a member of other forums, of which I have read people using Silicone I to build tanks in the hundreds of gallons, with no problems.

i just resealed a 125rr removing old silicone was a pain applying the new ge silicone 1 was a piece of cake to apply next step to see if it leaks
