WHO DAT?

I hear ya. Be lucky you guys picked up Drew Brees. He's been a winner all his life and will take the Saints far.

Nothing lucky about the acquisition of Brees.
Acquiring Bush, now that was lucky.
Ask the Texans how that's working out for 'em.

There was a small gamble with him being injured. Brees kept saying that he was fine and his rehabbing was waaaay ahead of schedule, but no one believed him. He was rehabbing 8 hrs a day to get ready for the season.

Jenn's a life long Saints fan and said last night she didn't know if she'd ever been as excited as last night:).

As a Falcons fan I was very uneasy when they made the Brees pickup, I was aghast when they drafted Reggie Bush, now I'm in awe. I new they were gonna be good, and they are proving me right. Wanna trade anything for a Vick?

I hope you took advantage of that and "struck while the iron was hot."

Quenched in cold water upon approach... Ain't married life grand;).

Go to the NFL shop and get that Brees jersey.

Heard on the radio that if Brees can pass for 350 yards in the last three games he'll break Marino's single season passing record. Might be tough to do with Redskins, Giants, and Panthers left, but nobody thought they would manhandle the Cowboys like they did either.

It's amazing to me how much crap I got from everyone telling me that Brees was overrated, etc. I kept asking everyone "what does he have to do to prove to you that he's good?" Well, now after reading Charleys post and an almost full page article about him in the USA Today...well, I think he's proved his worth. He was a winner in high school and college...and now in the pros. It's just what he does.

It's certainly a possibility but I'd rather he didn't break it and let Dan hold on to it.

However, I'm all for whatever it takes to win and if in the winning it gets broken....so be it.

"what does he have to do to prove to you that he's good?"

I feel that way now as a Saints fan in as "what (do they) have to do to prove to you that (they're) good?"

But it's not a big deal as I've had almost two decades as a Saints fan to learn patience and humility.

Who are you and what have you done to Dave?

When it comes to the NFL.

Does not apply to any of my dealings with any of you.

I don;t want him to break Dan's record, either. Dan is stil lmy favorite. Yeah, I'm a MiaMarino fan. It's tough these days...
