Gem Tang in AZ - Very Beautiful

I stopped by Aqua Touch to pick up some things and to check out their latest stock and saw this

First time I have seen one in AZ.

Definitely a beauty. He is one of the bigger tangs that I have seen for sale, He's about 5" round. Not a bad price for a Gem Tang $2,299.00. He's pretty fat and eating well. (They fed him when I was there)

I saw this guy on Friday. Very beautiful and rare to see -- I've only seen one other. Agreed, great price compared to what I've seen them go for, especially considering the size and health.

So, did you bring it home?

I was scoping him out on Saturday. Beautiful fish but dang, competitively priced or not, that's a sizable price tag.:eek2:

Reef culture has had a couple about a year or so ago for 2500.00.

Aqua Touch posted Gem Tang video up on FB. So I think it same fish

Any idea on the cost associated in collecting such a
Fish?

I am sure it is the same video. Why would they have more than 1. It is going to take a while to sell that fish. You need to have the right client with the right tank and the fat wallet for that guy. Too much $$ to sit on two of them at the same time. Chances are it will go out to a collector out of state.

But anyways... AWESOME fish! Saw it in person, probably the only time I will see one haha
