gen 2 pro over frag tank

i am going to be mounting a gen 2 pro over a tank 3'x2'x1'. so it will be shallow. i am also running two more gen 2 pros over my 120 display. i am excited to put one over my frag tank as well. i am not worried about the fact that it is 3' wide. i can keep some extra live rock to the side if light coverage doesn't allow corals in the entire tank.
my questions are; how high to mount light? are the wide angle lenses a must, more because of the depth? will the wide angle lenses allow the entire 3' width to be effectively covered?

I would do the wide angle lens and raise it high enough to cover the space. Then increase the intensity.

What are you putting in the frag tank?

If you have a par meter that would really help you out so you can make sure you have the correct intensity.

Just remember the wide angle lens will cut the par down by 40%.

96slowbra,

For an aquarium your size, a Wide Angle Lens kit would work great. Also, I would experiment with mounting height, but you will probably want to be around 12 inches.

thanks,
i would like to keep a little of everything in the display, so i guess the same in the frag tank. my light mount is similar to the rms you offer. adjustments will be no problem
