Gen-X pump question...

...Do all gen-x pumps have a not perfecty vertical pump outlet? I just purchased a 55 and the outflow is about 5 or 10 degrees form vertical. Why are they like this? What would the advantage be? How does everyone get around this?

Any comments on these pumps.

the ones I had tried, came like that

don't see why it would have any dis/advantages

in my case I always plum my connections with flex pvc tubing, so nothing to work around, and I just can't believe people used just hard pvc when flex makes life so easier,
