General lighting question

noob here as you can tell from the following...

I have my tank in my home office, so the General room lighting has an odd schedule as I might have the lights out at 6 pm and then need to work at midnight .. Or pop in 3 or 4 times after it gets dark. And I need a light to work...

1. Is it bad if I put on the bright room lights in the middle of the dark like that? My clown seems to get very startled...

2. What should my lighting schedule be on my DT. I have an LED that came with the tank and lid( was meant for a freshwater tank) . I don't know the wattage but it is very powerful. I plan on upgrading my lights at xmas time. But for my 2 clowns I hoped this led would be sufficient??

3. My qt was for freshwater.... It came w a lid and regular screw in bulbs... Is this safe? The salt has completely covered the cover and bulbs and I'm afraid it's a hazard.

I think you must mean the LEDs are not very powerful......and yes they are fine for clown fish as they are not photosynthetic.
