Geometric Pygmy Hawkfish (Plectranthias inermis)

Are these guys small enough to be safe with inverts, and do they have the perching behavior of a normal hawkfish?

From what I've read, I would expect them to be safe with all but tiny inverts (i.e., periclimenes or sexy shrimp), but I've never kept them.

They're not really hawkfish at all. They're related to anthias. I think the common name derives from the fact that they perch like a hawkfish.

Will add though that they are really secretive so unless you have a smaller tank or a very open scape that you can see around, i'd think very hard. They are uber cool though.

Are there feeding needs as strict as anthias?

No i would treat them like any other micropredator as they aren't constantly in motion so using up vast amounts of energy in high current environment. Very easy to feed tbh taking meaty food like mysis etc and with their more sedantary livestyle they don't take much feeding.
