Checked it out, there is a thread on the reef forum here I believe with some great pictures. Just thought I would share a few of this week-

When the reef tank fills in with corals it will be amazing but right now it likes more like a Fish Only tank. Still an awesome place to visit though. I had fun there. Will go back again.

Are they going to fill it with coral (live or fake)? The one at the Ripleys Aquarium Of The Smokies in Gatlinburg about that same size has a bunch of fake ones in it.

From what I understand they have a mix of fake and live corals in there now and as the live corals grow out they are going to take out the fake ones.

CS is right. I beleive that is what they say on their website also. It will be a while though to fill in that much space.

I wondered if they take coral frag donations ?

The main display and reef tank are both lit by natural sunlight. The main display also has artificial lighting, but I am not sure about the reef tank. Nicest aquarium showcase I have ever been to. The reef tank looked to me like its starting to slowly fill in. I don't think they want to rush it, who could blame them. They had some acro slimer colonies, two or three large 3 ft or so red/orange monti cap, green cap, colt, largest RBTA I have seen, and a bunch of other small corals.

For some of us its such a short trip.
Here are a couple more pics-

Feeding time was sweet, the fish new the food was coming. It appeared to be cyclopeeze, probably a whole bar.

Not sure of gallons but its 3 stories tall and has two whale sharks, a large school of rays "about 100", and a bunch of grouper bigger than me

Are ticket sales the only source of revenue for the aquarium? It seems like they would have a hard time paying for all the upkeep on ticket sales alone!

The tank is lit by skylights for most of the day but to either side there are rows of both 20K 1000W MH as well as 6500K 1000W MH. What is even more impressive to see then the exibit itself is the behind the scenes.
