The noise is moderate...the Dart NW makes a fair amount of noise. With the doors and cabinets closed, things are pretty quiet in the den.

When I hoocked mine up it sounded like a honda civic with one of those coffe can mufflers and at times it woud sound like it's backfiring... I'm not sure if you can have a silencer made since you have the airpump on it...

I will start adding stuff in the next week or two. I still want to buy more liverock and need to get a couple GEO 6x24 media containers for carbon.
