The gestation period for H reidi is approximately 2 weeks.
If he is not having any bouyancy issues ,he may have simply filled his pouch with water. Males will sometimes do this and fool us into thinking fry are on the way.
So now you know he is deffinately pregnant. I have kept many species and some do have a gestation of 28-30 days but I have never known of a case where a reidi would hold the fry for that long.
Apparently he is not as far along as you may have thought.
Were the fry that were aborted when you did a PE alive and fully formed?
