well, i went to my first "consignment" sale today at TPW. i must admit, it was quite a sight. if you didnt get there quick, you were on the short end. i picked up a light fixture, chanded my mind, set it back on the table. it really never got completely out of my hands, before someone else had it. WOW.:D aqueon rep was there, giving out new HOB filters even exchange for old ones. didnt matter what they were. all in all, cool experience.

i was there also and it was a mad house to many people, had to make line for everything ,but there was some good deals though

I was there with not really any intention of buying anything. I asked the guy how much the 75 all glass tank, drilled with overflow was with no stand, he told me and I looked at the wife and told her it was a pretty decent price.

we bought it, now I have an empty tank in the basement. I have a lot to finish before I can set it up and not get yelled at.

yeah so far so good. i need to put some type of filter in the hob overflow to help with gurgling noise , i just need an mag 12 so i can get both going .I did put the heater in the sump

I was actually pretty disappointed in the "sale". Last year I know Imlon2 and Stupidsreef got a good price on the IO 200 gal boxes of salt, this year they had a sale sign but didnt have any. So then I thought I would try Coralife...nope didnt have the 150 gal buckets. Tank prices were so so, i got my 125 at Gateway regular price for cheaper than their sale. and the fish were pretty well gone in the first hour. I got the free Aqeon filter, but I dont know if it was worth the $10 in gas to get down there.

Really sorry to hear that Nick, did you arrive a little late?? And there pretty good about honoring the sale prices for you if they've run out out something. I'm pretty sure if you had asked John about the IO salt he would of let ya know when he was expecting more and given it to you for the sale price then. I know last year he held the tanks & other things prices over the next couple of days.

i was there around 10 and waited around until they opened at 11 went straight over to the saltwater room, left by 11:45. Part of the issue was they had "volunteers" working in the saltwater area instead of people familiar with the place. They were nice enough but dismissed my questions with "If you dont see it out we dont have it". By the time I saw John I was already in line and wasnt getting out for anything.
