Getting a fish out of a rock

I have my fish in a qt because of ich. I am going to do hyposalinity. I caught all of my fish, but the midas blenny hid deep in its rock. So I put it in the qt with the rock. Now I am trying to get it out of its rock so I can do hyposalinity. When I try to get the rock, the fish swimms right back in a deep hole in the rock. So any suggestions?

take the rock out, flip it over, and shake the rock to get him out. If not just put the rock in a big enough container upside down and in a few minutes he'll fall out. Souds harsh, but it worked for me

thanks. I did try it. I found out that there are two holes. One is small and deep, and the other is a big hole. So when I find it in its big hole, I can shake it, because the blenny will slip right out

Using a fish trap is your best route. Or depending on the size of your qt tank, you can place the rock in one corner. Then, quickly place a sheet of acrylic to cover the corner that the rock is in when the fish comes out.
