Getting a New Tank

I did as much as I could yesterday without help. I could have went ahead and finished the plumbing but figured it would be easier to tint if some of it wasnt in the way. I have help coming today. Well he (Anthony) doesnt know he'll be helping but hey if you cant take advantage of your friends, lol. Will tint the back glass today, hang the canopy and finish the plumbing. Should have the lights fired up over it next week sometime. Thanks for all the compliments. Look forward to posting pics of Aquascape when I get that far.

HA HA HA, too bad I read this before heading to your house lol. I might be a little delayed in my trip now. Sounds good, I am ready to get some water in that monster.

Well got some water and rock in it today. I was playing around and went ahead and stacked my rock before I started adding water. Sweet !!!!!!! Love this rock makes plenty of shelves and caves. Then,,,,,,, I added water and watched my aquascape fall to pieces. LOL Oh well have to do it all over it was just for fun stacking it then anyway. Will post some more pics soon. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hey Rhett,
Looks really good! I bet it will make your while basement really light up! How did the tinting go? Are you going bare bottom?

The tinting went fine. Went to the fish store and got the tint Bill told me to get and it wasnt that hard. My wife heled me and it turned out good. No more barebottom for my tanks. I tried it but didnt care for it. I feel like its a reef tank so I expect to see sand you know. Lights should be here Tues or Wed. You need to come by and hang out sometime soon Sean.

I saw it this weekend and it is huge. It looks really nice with the tint on the back too. I am ready to see it with some stuff moving around now.

You know after the heartache of losing almost all my SPS the thread kind of went to the wayside for a while. Im been buying and trading for as many good frags as I can get. I will post up some new pics soon. Thanks for updating for me Zef.

Same here Rhett. But you know that. And thanks bro but I didn't bring this back up that would be map4reef. So the thankyou should go to him.
Anyways did you get that pic of the new Tyree LE green jacket. Thats a sweet looking coral I think.

well thanks to mapn4reef too. No I havent seen it yet. I still have my colony of Idaho Grape Cap it was most of the high end pieces I lost. Hmmm high end pieces another reminder why they cost so much because they die easy, lol.

Here are some updated pictures. Still trying to get everything back the way it use to be but I know it will take several months for that. Hope you like the pics.

Hey is that Flexible PVC pipe your using. Ive never used that but am current in the process of setting up a new tank. What did you use to screw them into your bulkheads or how did you do that. Great setup.

Alot of people call in Flexspa. You can get it in pool supply stores. Just screw a 90 fitting into my bulkheads and then glued the flexspa into the fitting. Plumbing was easy and of course I brained stormed with Bill on the idea before I took action. Im proud of the way it turned out. Nothing like seeing a mature tank though so I will do my best to sit back and be patient. Thanks for the compliments everyone.
