getting a ric to produce more mouths

I was wondering if I was doing anything wrong... my ricordea is like 3 inches wide fully puffed, and it only has one mouth.... Most of the other rics I've seen online usually are significantly smaller, and have multiple mouths.

I feed it semi-regularly (every other day) usually a piece of freeze dried shrimp or brine shrimp or whatever it is that I'm feeding that week. I try to vary my feedings.

Would dosing iodine help it spawn new mouths? Stop feeding it? More light? less light? (its under 10k and actinic t5s)

If it's 3 inches across, I would just cut it into 4 pieces, each with a mouth....Much quicker way to get 4 rics

I'd like my ric to form a new mouth and split already. It's kinda stalled mid-split because the body wants to split but the mouth hasn't doubled. I basically have two rics smashed together sharing one mouth at the center.
