Getting an RBTA to let go?!?!?!?

My friend has an RBTA and he wants to give it to me.

The problem is he is currently attached to the wall and we dont know how to get him off.

Someone mentioned to put a power head on him?

Are there any other suggestions?

Stick your finger on the base and peel it off slowly. That's what I do.

Or use an algae scraper if it's on the glass.

Otherwise, I thought I'd heard about shooting cold RO water at the base...or an RO ice cube. Not tried that one, best to look it up before you do.

I use a turkey baster & a credit card (old one) slowly push at the foot while blasting with the turkey baster

a long finger nail, or credit card, gently peeling it away will get it off in 2 min. I've turkey basted a couple before and they really hate it. The only time I irritate it enough to get it to move is when it's foot is stuck in a hole where I can't coax it out/off the rock with my fingernail. Off the glass? Easiest thing in the world with a fingernail or credit card; no need all the other irritation methods.

It's on the rock now. I don't know if the credit card or my finger will work? Any other ideas?

all the ideas presented so far are the ones to use; even on rock. 1)fingernail 2) credit card 3)ice in a baggy placed at the foot 4) powerhead blowing on it/turkey baster blasting it.
How many more ideas do you want?

Block the light from it, it will turn loose .
It's not instant, but you won't have the possibility of tearing foot either.
