Would need more information, how much rock do you have? are you starting with dry rock or live rock? Do you have test kits? If not get at the very least ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, (I recommend Red Sea) when you get zero on ammonia and nitrite, and you have read ALL the stickys on the top, then Test for nitrates, do a couple water changes three days apart, nitrates less then 20 are ok for just fish, some inverts can't handles nitrates so lower the better. Don't double your bio load in a single month, play it slow, real slow. Keep asking questions.
