Getting back into the hobby- looking for supplies

I am getting back into the hobby and am looking to see if anyone has any equipment or stands available? Pm me if anyone is getting rid of some stuff.

I don't have any equipment, but when your tank is up and established I may have a frag or two for you to get ya going.

Thanks! I really appreciate that. Do you happen to know if anyone has a sump they need or want to get rid of? I can kind of incorporate just about any size sump.

i have a 160G Oceanic brand tank, stand, and hood for sale if you're looking.

it is too large for my current house so it sadly has to go. drilled and starphire front panel, asking $1000 for everything, you need to haul it because it won't fit in the back of my lancer. ;)

i also have two older LED fixtures (EcoRay 60D) that i am asking $125 each for, or $200 takes the pair. just collecting dust at the moment.

Thank you Mondo - sadly I do not believe I will have that much space in my house either. I think I will need to look either for a cube style or a 65 gallon. Does anyone have any thoughts on rimless tanks and their overall durability?

Sure do. I'm running a few errands at the moment but I'll post them as soon as I get home.

It is a 6 foot tank.

Pm sent misled. I'll stop hijacking the OPs thread.

Krshlln, the LFS I frequent, oddball aquatics, has a couple rimless display tanks that have held up quite well, and they're actually in the process of setting up two more now for a new coral system.

I myself love the rimless look, but it makes it harder to put a screen top on. After losing a beloved clown to jumping, I'll never go topless again.

I actually have some pretty sleek solutions to the rimless screen top issue but I have a very wild very large 18lb cat that would have a field day with a rimless- So I am forced into having a hood at least. :)

OK I have a 65 tank now that I will try to use for now to see how things go however I am in need a few things still.

Anybody have an RODI that is reasonably efficient or any suggestions?

Mondo, dimensions on the tank and stand please. Got a pic????

Hey Jesse, if 'yer getting a new tank I gots a free 75 gal sump for you.

We could meet halfways...We could invade Freed in Fort Wayne!! And make him buy lunch.
Dare me.

I do not want to sound mean but please do not post in my thread if you are not offering to sell ME (krshlln300) any supplies. If you want to communicate to others such as Misled than please use PM's.

I would like to know if anyone has a decent RODI unit they are looking to part with or if anyone can lend suggestions to a good one with a reasonable price online.

Thanks,

I got a 90GPD refurbished spectrapure unit about two years ago that I love. I would check them out.

Bulk Reef Supply (BRS) also has good quality rodi units.

Very well then, you can have the sump instead of Misled.
Sorry .

I have a danner mag drive 7 as my return on my 75 gallon. They make some real nice pumps. I believe mine is rated for 700gph. I know they make a couple larger and smaller sizes as well.

It has run quite well for me for about two years so far. It's fairly quiet too.

There are a lot of other good return pumps out there too, but so far the danner is the only one I've needed.

Great!. Its been a while since ive been in this so I'm trying to get back up to speed in my research. What is everyone's thoughts on the BRS 2 part doser?

Additionally when are or how much are the Pittsburgh club's meetings?

Generally I like anything BRS. I have one of their peristaltic dosing pumps that I use to administer kalkwasser and it works very well. I'm not sure if that is the same pump that comes with their 2 part dosing or not, but if it is the peristaltic pump, I recommend it.
