Getting back into zoas.

My last couple of tanks have been primarily sps dominated. This time I'm going to focus more on lps and zoas. Here's what I have right now.

Thanks. I don't think they have a name. I picked them up at a lfs. I refer to them as red and grey zoanthids.

frctlimg, forgot to mention, check out Coral Props for some very affordable zoas and palys at $ 15 to $ 20 with 10 to 15 plyps and no single polyp sales. Reef Odyssey has 6 for $ 99.00 with free shipping and I counted at least 10 to 15 polyps per frag on another reef board. Don't bother to focus on any names and I'm sure you'll be happy.

Good luck man.

Thanks for the heads up Mucho. I check reef odyssey often. I'll have to check out coral props though.

I found these guys yesterday. Another red morph.....

These little guys are pretty intriguing as well. It was hard to get a decent picture of them. They're so small.

For size comparison.

Anyone else have any tiny zoas?

Thanks. I didn't buy these online though. Everything is from my lfs. Cheaper than buying online and I get to support friends.

CCarlson - Thanks. They are the smallest polyps I've ever owned/seen. You can compare their size to "regular" zoas vs. z. gigantus in the last picture I posted. I think they are a similar morph of what some people are calling time machines.

Very cool, I just purchased some online and the seller said they were a very small polyp size. I didnt realise until they got here just how small they were.
