Getting back

I meant depth front to back not top to bottom...sorry. So....30" deep and height is 23"?

I have three 180 watt Cree LED light fixtures over my DT (ReefTech), they only have 3 colors....cool white, blue and royal blue....after sunrise and sunset settings I have the lights programmed to run at 50% white, 80% royal blue and 70% blue.
I don't add new corals directly into the DT....I place them in my frag tank (after dipping) to acclimate them. I have a single 150 watt Cree LED light over that tank and run the lights in a shorter schedule (hours per day).

My skimmer reacted similarly. It would go flat after feeding then once the fish started pooping it would fire up pulling everything out then go into limbo again. It's not very energy efficient but it did what it was supposed to do when protein was present. I used it in a rock curing tub once and the thing pulled crap for almost two weeks straight. Once the organics were gone it went into idle mode.
Spirulina powder with a touch of selcon worked for me. I got tired of the whole thing and ended up hanging the hatchery in my tank. That lasted until I took it out of the tank one day and accidently stepped on it. I abandoned the whole thing after that and stuck to feeding my fish frozen food and pellets. Fun experiment but in the end it just became another chore.

Considering the lights I have, what would you recommend I set color to?

Not sure about the Radion programmability...do you have the ability to control each color group separately? If so....I would start lower with the whites...35 to 40% and build up over a few weeks to 50%....blues you can start higher, say 55% and build up to 70 to 80%. Other colors you should see how the corals react and be careful with the violet, (I'm not sure what spectrum they have in those units....could be anywhere from 400 to 420nm).....slower is always better or you'll fry the corals.

Other considerations: the distance between the LEDs and the water, water clarity, euro braced vs glass center brace....your color preference etc.

Looks great. How come you're not using the APEX as an ATO? What problems are you having with the APEX on your phone? I've never had a problem.
