Hi,
Have decided reefing isn't for me. Here's what I have to give away, available for free to whoever wants it (don't post or pm me--I don't have a computer at home and only check email twice a week--you'll have to call: Leave a message if I'm out.) Sorry, no pix--don't have a digital camera either.
I'd like to get rid of living things first: 1 yellowtail damsel, 3 small hermits, 3 astrea snails, 2 or 3 nassarius snails. 1 rock (about 5-6 inches by 2 inches) with 3 kinds of green star polyps on it. A patch of green star polyps on wall of aquarium (about 5 by 2 inches). Four other rocks (about 20 pounds total), one of which is well-covered in halimeda. Of course, the sand bed, if anyone wants it.
Hardware (available when critters are gone): Hang-on Remora skimmer powered by maxi-jet 1600, portable refractometer (from club group-buy a few years ago), Tropic Marin Hi-precision floating hydrometer, about 30 pounds of clean, unused, deep sand-bed sand. New container of Oceanic salt mix (makes 50 gal). A couple small powerheads. Assorted chemicals, testing supplies, dry foods. Several books: by Fenner, Tullock, Fatheree, Wilkerson, Paletta. I'm keeping the tank and lighting system.
It's been fun, but I need something simpler. Going back to goldfish!
