Thats a mathematical question.

When you add 2'' of sand and ~10lbs of LR you loose about 5g of water:lol:

The cubes hawaiin boy has are 18x18x18 25g both drilled for easy overflow to sump.

it would only hold 7 gallons AFTER the 2 inches of sand  and 5 after the 5lbs of rock :lmao:
... how many gallons you think those cubes Hboi got are sam?
O... n/m... i just read 25 :p

18x18x18 cube tank and you can reduce amount of volume by adding what ever it is you want in them ;)

Hopefully you put the correct size and quality bearings in this time. :p

Last time I went to test and tune someone tried following the twin-turbo steath home we were running that day. I understand why . . . it was a sleeper that had run 11's all day long with a BAD driver behind the wheel (you could hear him miss/grind thrid on EVERY run). It didn't take a genius to figure out there was $75K worth of engine under the hood.

They failed to notice we had two support vehicles that were watching them.

We figured out what was going on immediately and took them for a long trip through the desert. I think it may have had something to do with the armed check point guards (MP's) at the base we lead them out to, but they decided to turn around . . . we just left through a different gate and headed home.

Look into Gearspeed for that tranny. They are great!

Also, Gator racing makes some good axles. I used them on my turbo'd gsr, worked great! I wish I would have met you few months back. I parted out my car, and had alot of the stuff you was looking for.

What compression ratio are you running, and how much boost are you looking to run? Sounds like a great setup!

 yea i got the right sized bearings this time & a SHOP is installing... not some garage Joe job...

im running 9:1:1 compression... and about 26-28 psi safely...
I find myself almost going around the sleeves and saving money and just keeping the boost at 10 psi daily driver and about 13-15 on the track... this car can get as bad as a reef tank.... just thinking about all the HP... honestly, that is just a lot more HP then i know how to drive... 300-325whp seems more then enough... plus i could just trade or sell the Dart sleeves, and injectors (stick with my 450cc blue tops) or just keep em for another "out of motor" build... i have alot on my plate to consider.

i do have some future plans to turn around and sell the car, i really want a Eg or a Ek hatch... and i would hate to sell a FULLY BUILT motor in my CURRENT SALVAGED car and get no where near what i should be expecting...

brb... im going to call my engine builder... need to discuss some stuff... the sleeves were going to be installed tomorrow... think im going to hold off...

Ah toys . . .

When it comes to engines, I stick to one rule of thumb - do it right the first time. If you pass on the sleeves this round, how are you going to feel if lunch it and have to do it AGAIN?! Not to mention how expensive it will be to add them later if you skip putting them in an engine that is already apart. You have the rest of the stuff to support it already, might as well finish the job now.

You can always turn the boost down.

You can also move the engine to a different car.

I think It really depends on what your going to use the car for. If you plan on just driving it on the streets, 13-16 psi of boost on a semi built motor is wayyy more then enough IMO. I had my gsr motor built with pistons, rods, headwork, ect., NO SLEEVES, and ran around 14-16 psi on the streets. It was really reliable, and had more then enough power. Even with LSD, I had trouble keeping the tires from breaking loose. IMO, going with sleeves and running 23 psi for a street car is overkill. Not worth all the extra money and work involved for a car thats only driving on streets.

But its your car, and you should do what you want with it. Either way, its going to be a beast!

Enough HP? Sacrilege!!!!

Granted, this coming from a guy would stay up all night swapping engines to keep heavy builds crispy and put most of the daily street abuse on a mild build. We kept a shelf stocked with complete LT-1's. More than one person was handed his hiney on my morning commute to the office.

My 'home' at the time was shared with a buddy who is a master tech. 2/3rd's of the 9000sqft industrial building we shared was converted in to an auto/motorcycle shop. The only thing we couldn't do ourselves was piston and head mill work. We usually did the modifactions to 13B's ourselves.

If you really want a laugh . . . we put the 13B's in to a '72 Super Beetle outfitted with a 12pt cage running 10" wrinkle-walls. Talk about a car that liked to stand up and say HIYA!

lolz...
i really dont want a drag car... plus the more HP i chase after, the more it will see the shop, Horse Power -=OR=- RELIABILITY, you cant have both!! ... i think i would be better off passing on the sleeves and taking it more towards Street and not Street & Strip... i need reliability... 300-320 shud be fine... now if i could only get this front wheel drive car to hook... then i could be getting somewhere.
