Getting started

Well many of you know that I started this hobby about 8 months or so ago, I went from a 55 to a 20 to a 120 with a 40 sump/fuge.

Everything is going well thus far. Still have some things I need to upgrade of course, with this crap economy it's hard to do so especially without a job. I still need to upgrade my lights, and get a bigger skimmer eventually. I also need to increase the flow.

I currently have 180+ lbs of Live Rock, a modded MJ 1200, and a sedra 9000 return pump.

I just had a question and I am not trying to sound like a mooch but take it however you'd like. LoL

I was kind of wondering if there is anyone willing to maybe hook me up with a couple free small frags of some stuff so that I actually have something to look at. I currently have a green star polyp that I have had since the first month of getting started, and I have like 5 mushrooms, a lawnmower blenny, 2 damsels(soon leaving) and a mandarin.

I'd just like to be able to have some stuff to look at, I don't care if it's kenya trees, xenia, whatever... I can however only have corals at this point that require low lighting as I only have 2 96 watt VHO's and a 296 watt PC until I can make the jump to halides or T5's.

Anyone out there able to help a brotha out? LoL
 
If your ever in north olmsted I can hook you up with some nice candy cane coral and I should have some zoa frags I can help you out with let me know if your gonna be in the area!
 
I feel ya, bennyd! I have no income yet my outcome is like 50 grand a year.

djtonton, you wanna hook me up with some too? lol
 
I ripped out half of a 5g bucket of antheilia if you would like some I could easily give you a bunch. If you want to trade a piece of rock for one covered in anthelia I could do that too. I am about an hour from Canton but will be at the meeting Friday if you want to meet up then.

Wow cool, thanks for the offers everyone,

Kevin, what size rock do you have? I have a bunch in my sump, nothing special or anything, I can take some pictures in the next day or so. There's lots of pieces.
 
Hey benny, I have some stuff you can have. Nothing special though. (All of you experienced reefers stop laughing at me and my specimens haha) I have Kenya Tree, Toad Stool, Cabbage Coral, Neon Green Flower Anenome and possibly some mushrooms. Let me know if you want anything and I will bring it to the meeting. I certainly know what it's like trying to stock a tank with no money. :( My boyfriend just said to me "why is everything in your tank just brown" I said because I didn't have the $$ to buy the expensive colorful stuff.

My brother just shut down his tank and he had this stuff in his. I was going to post some of it on Fragswapper but I can't go to the swap. :(

I have several large bunches of neon green sinularia that I would like to get rid of. You are welcome to a free bunch.

Now that my sps frags are finally starting to get bigger, the sinularia is just in the way.

If you are ever in the area by AT, I could meet you there. Let me know if interested and I can post pics.
 
Thanks for the offers Cindy, I'm willing to take anything that you're willing to give. I'm not sure if I will be able to make the meeting or not, but if not, I'm sure we can work something out. I sent you a PM btw.

That would be great! I plan on going to AT around the first of the month, is that too long? I'd be happy to take some of the sinulara.

No problem.....that's fine. Just pm me when you plan to be in town and I'll meet you there.
 
Just wanted to thank everyone for the offers! Not sure if I will be making it to the meeting or not, but if not, I plan on going to Aquatic Tech around the first of the month. I can make a day of it and drive around to meet some of you and pickup the frags or whatever, or we can make other arrangements if I'm not making the meeting.

Everyone with offers, if I can't make the meeting, let me know what works for you.
 
If you get to the Cleveland Heights area, I can give you a couple types of sinularia and a green sarcophyton (toadstool).
