Getting the most out of my 9010

So I have been using the 9010 on my 60 for around a year. It works great with one caveat: I have to keep the keep the blue screw completely out rendering the skimmer nonadjustable. Now I have upgraded to a 100 gallon, and added a foam extractor and I am hoping to tune the skimmer for maximum effciency. Any tips or suggestions on how to get this thing to be adjustable?

It sounds like something is not right with the venturi nozzle, it should not have to be so far out. Was it always this way? Did we ever change the nozzle?

no, we never changed the nozzle. the skimmer has been run with the screw completely removed since I got it! It is the only way that I get any skimmate.

This is the impeller housing from a replacement pump you guys sent me last summer.

I need to see the tip where the venturi is. I also need to see the impeller blades.

OK. Can you make a list of all the things that you need to see. I don't want to keep breaking the skimmer down:D

This problem would most likely be caused by a smaller impeller than normal or a bad venturi/ impeller housing but it is the output tip that is more of an issue than the actual housing and that is what I need to see.
