My GFCI keeps tripping when I plug the cord that controls 4 54 watt t5 bulbs in. It used to work fine, but now it trips it randomly. Is the problem in the outlet or the fixture?
The gfci is tripping either because it is faulty or because the fixture is bad. It could be drawing too much current, or could have a bad ground or a short somewhere.
I would bet its in the light. Does the gfci work with other items plugged into it? I'm gonna bet a loose tombstone wire in the fixture, or the ballast is on its last leg.
