GFO alternative?

I was wondering if there was a good alternative to gfo. I've been using gfo with no problem until recently. Maybe it was a bad batch or maybe it was user error but my tank turned brown for a good week until I removed the gfo. If there is anything that Is equally as good or better please let me know. Thanks!

Did you see the post on this site about GFO longevity? They used a polymer coated GFO.

RowaPhos, Aquaforest Phosphate minus, PhosGuard etc, there are many available alternatives

I can't use GFO because my type of reactor (Minimax) lets the particles escape. I've been using Phosguard for about a month now with a bit of carbon on top in the hopes of reducing any ill effects from the aluminum. Only time will tell but my corals all seem to be doing great.

i've used phosguard for over a year. it's not available around here anymore so i use rowaphos now but i like the phosguard better.
