GFO and biopellets

Just wondering if it's common to run both gfo and biopellets. From what I understand neither works as efficient if you run it with the other material (separate reactors). Your thoughts?

Never done bio pellets but I would imagine the gfo would help take up the slack. You definitely don't want to overdo the gfo because it's somewhat competing with the bp. That's what I did in my tank with prodibio. I cut my gfo in half and am still figuring out what's needed to take up the slack....
