GFO and Soft Corals?

I have read some different opinions of running GFO in a soft reef, some say its fine, some say it's not necessary, and some say it is harmful because the softies like and need the phosphates.

I wanted to gauge some experiences so would you please tell me if you do or don't use GFO in a soft reef and your reasoning behind it. Thank You

everybody's tank is different some run GFO and some don't, but my tank runs GFO and I haven't seen anything bad and my corals are growing and have great colour. I have heard corals like Zoas like a little dirtier tank which helps with there colour if I am not mistaken. if I am wrong guys please correct me.

Since adding GFO into my softy reef I've not noticed any bad effects. Mushrooms still multiplying, zoas growing fast, and leather cabbage getting big. I did lose one leather toad stool that was added after GFO was in use so don't know why it died... chopped that one up to necrosis.
