so i been reading about what matt is going to be doing and the advice given. i run a refugium on reverse light timing plus i have a planted tank connected to my system. i want to run some carbon and GFO in hopes that it might fix the problems i have with algae and my zoas looking bad (only my radioactive dragon eye colony is doing good but it still doesn't look great). i know one of my problems is i run a bak pak skimmer on a system that totals close to 100 gallons. but i was goign to remove the bio bale media from it and make an insert for holding GFO and carbon. i am only going to run this for a few days and watch it carefully. do you guys think this will work and does anyone have a lot of experience with zoas or atleast point me in the right direction (i.e website, person)? what size GFO would i want? and at the meeting rich said that kalk will remove phosphate and add a little in alk. would this be better than GFO and does anyone know where i can find out more about this?

i read up on this stuff buck is 100% right GFO has more then 100% capacity over p04 from what i read witch mean longer useing witch means less money.
