GFO & GAC mix

Any thoughts on mixing GFO & GAC together and using it in a single reactor?

Benefits? Losses? Issues? Any advice?

seachem makes a product called seagel that is just that a mix of gfo and gac so to answer that question yes you can mix it the only issue i can see is gfo works better with lower flow so it may not be as efficient as it could be alone but i think the benefit of only needing one reactor out weighs that

Just for the record, Seagel does not have GFO in it. It is an aluminum based product if I remember correctly
