GFO Reactor Clogging up. How To Fix?

I occasionally run GFO and Carbon in two seperate TLF reactors. I don't fill either one the top. Usually just a cup or so in each is sufficient. The GFO should just slightly move in the reactor but not aggresively tumble.

gfo and carbon need 2 different types on flow. this is why your reactors are clogging up. you should mod the duel reactor so they run separately. its real easy to do; take apart the bracket, loosen the middle coupling, rotate reactors and mount it back on the bracket. then just hook up some lines to a pump and then you can control each reactor with different flow rates. its best to have them run off a manifold off your return line.

the best idea to sell this one and get two separate. Duals are not efficient as singles.

I am using MJ 400 to run GFO from BRS, but for Seachem phosphate remover I am using 1200, since it is heavy. The media should just tumble on the top and you should not fill the reactor full
there are instructions how much GFO you should run based on gallons in your system.
