GFO Reactor Refill Question

Evening Everyone-

The time has come to refill my TLF Phosban Reactor for the first time. Now, when I set it up, I gradually added GFO to the reactor, building up to the full dosage amount. Do I need to repeat that process during refill since the GFO is exhausted, or can I just swap out and throw the full amount back in the reactor??

THANKS!

How long has it been exhausted? If you haven't been neglecting it for months you'll be fine with the full amount.

You will be fine replaceing it at full dose. The only time you run into problems is if you let PO4 get high again. Dropping PO4 rapidly can cause problems. You will be fine replacing the GFO. GFO last awhile; so 3 or 4 months wasn't that long unless you were feeding heavily. If you don't know... test PO4 if it is low you are good to replace full strenth ... if high then do it slowly again.
