Heya!

First some specs about my tank - Nano of about 20g Tank and anther 10g sump,
nothing much just 2 corals, live rock and 2 clownfish...
BB curve 5 skimmer

i have GHA all over my tank... i rip it off it grows back...
3 weeks ago i purchased a new Reactor Filled with Deltec Phosphate Remover thing.. and still it grows back... the guy at my LFS told me that there is nothing to absorb or to remove since the Algae Eats all the phosphate, and whats why my test kit shows 0.08.
so i was told to remove by hand all that i can and let Reactor do he's thing...

the thing is! i see a lot of people doing great with the Nopox from red sea,i also read that you cannot use both nopox and any other Media that absorb phosphate or nitrate since they can collide and do something else or nothing or even Harm the tank (since this is written on the bottle for you to only buy Nopox or that it can really do serious Damage)
Will Nopox remove and kill all my GHA?

so here is what i ask!
1.Should i just wait and remove what i can and let my reactor do he's best?
2.should i unplug my reactor for some time and start dosing Nopox?

Thanks!

Make sure it's GHA and not Bryopsis. If you start pulling bryopsis out by hand you'll see it spreading like wildfire around your tank.

The Deltec media you're using is RowaPhos, right? Sorry, I can't keep up with all the products, but I think that's the one you meant.

You'll need to replace the RowaPhos when the media is exhausted, which might be in a day or so, depending on the actual phosphate level. You can determine whether the media is full by testing the output of the reactor, at least as long as the phosphate level is high enough. Even so, it might take weeks for it to control the problem, if it works at all.

I would get a second opinion on the phosphate kit, just in case. Better skimming might help, as well as less food.

You could consider dosing NoPOx or another carbon source (vodka, vinegar, etc). They have been known to help, too. What is the nitrate level in the tank? The carbon sources all require nitrogen from the water column.

Will do tests tomorrow and check the name of the deltec media, plus get photos of the algae,
Can i mix vodka and my reactor? Or just one at a time?

If there's still some phosphate, the vodka might help, although I'd watch the corals carefully for signs of trouble.
