Where am I?

3 months ago I started vinegar dosing, last month I started using GFO. I had to start using it it small amounts because my LPS didn't like the change. Right before I started using GFO I started to getting GHA, I replaced the bulbs 2 weeks ago. However the GHA still is coming back more and more but it's light green in color not the normal green color. What else could I possible do to rid my tank of this problem. I have never had GHA before until now.

Keep on doing it and give it time

With only 6 fish and normal feeding, Trates should not be a big issue if you do routine maintance of mech fitration, ect...

I would however work on the Phates and starve it to death.

Keep using the gfo as it will take care of the PO which is really the cause of the algae. Also, reducing your photoperiod to 5-6 hours. It will take some time to eliminate depending on how much is grown. Cut it back as that helps too.

I am going to cut back on the lights starting tomorrow, I just have been lucky and never dealt with GHA.

If you can remove the rocks its on, give them a peroxide dip.

I did think about that, because it one known rock it's a huge 20lber. When I decided to do it I tried to move my dark purple chalice and it has started growing on the rock so I can't remove it. Once I see it I brush it off and try to push *** much as I can into the over flows. The hermit crabs seem to be targeting the areas needed.
