GHL Aquarium fan controller

Will this control any DC 12 volt fan or only the Propeller breeze? If so what is the max watts or amps this puts out?

Yes and no, you need to make sure the output matches your fan, we had someone in the UK last year attempt this and it burnt out the controller.

I do not currently have stock to check the outputs but will get it for you

But as long as I'm not trying to draw to much current from it by being overloaded with fans it should work right?

And as always thanks for the super fast reply Michael.

No probs

Best not to hope or guess or assume on this one as I know what happened last time. I will have an answer latest Tuesday (delay due to easter)

Does the fan controller just receive a signal from the Profilux and have its own cord to plug in or is the Profilux actually suppling power for the fans through the unit?

Got one didnt think any were left

The power adapter of the fan plugs into the control box, then the control box power line plugs into the fan unit. The control cable plugs into the L socket of the ProfiLux

Power = 12V
Max current = 800mA

Ok great.
So the controller has a seperate power line and the Profilux is not actually driving the fans.?

Just want to be clear

Thanks Michael

Actually I may have gotten lucky, A local store has a GHL 5 fan unit instock and I have some store credit. Now I just need to get ahold of a fan controller.

Hi guys,

Just a side question since we're on the subject of fan controllers. I have a fan controller and (1) GHL 5 breeze fan. I just bought another GHL 5 breeze fan from someone used.
So here's the question... Can I use the 1 fan controller split the voltage input with some Y connecter and run the (2) 5 Breeze fans at the same time? Or would I be drawing too much power from the 1 controller? Would I need to get a seperate controller for each 5 breeze fan?
Thanks and hope you all had a great long weekend!

Wei
