GHL probe holders

What are people using for probe holders? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Has anyone found an acrylic probe rack that can hold four + probes?

Thanks,

Ken

I have each probe being held upright by taping down the wire on the trim of the sump. This way I can make sure that the whole probe is not submerged.

I drilled holes in my in sump acrylic calcium reactor stand (home made) for each probe and it works perfect. (cheap to make a in sump stand just takes an hour or so to cut and glue. (lowes cut the small acrylic sheets for me to size)

use a piece of egg crate or a 1/2 electrical wire grommet that you can find in the electrical section of HD (sorry dont know the name)

I used a hanging gang air control valve ($4.00 at the LFS).

I popped off the air valves, then just zip tied the probes
to the hanging holder (black holder, black zipties).

This is one thing GHL/Profilux should improve on !!

I was very surprised that my Profilux kit did not come with simple probe holders ! Also, the worst is I couldn't find any made by GHL (maybe I'm mistaken, but I have yet found any).

So, the funny thing is I got the Aquatronica probe holders instead. They are well made and do perfectly the job.

My 0.02$ :)

I use the same probe holders that were posted above, they are the aqua logic probe holders. Just do a seach on Marine Depots website for probe holders and its the first one that pulls up. For 2.99 they work pretty well. I agree though, I was surprised to not have probe holders in the box.

If you put them in the fuge, you're going to get lots of coraline and other algae build up. A calm dark place in the sump is where I keep mine. Less cleaning = better accuracy.
