I know they make some very nice T5 stuff, but how do their MH ballasts stack up? I've come across some comparisons with DE bulbs; do they run SE bulbs? It's very hard to find info on them in general.
I'm looking to run Phoenix 14000K or Radium 20000K SE bulbs.
i have a geismann infinity fixture with 2 x 250 watt ballasts running dual ended mh bulbs. the ballasts are quiet which is a plus. this was the first metal halide fixture that i havve owned (previously i was running 4 x 110 vho) so i don't have anything to compare it too. what i do know about them is
1. they are supposed to be electronic (or at least a hybrid)
2. in the reviews it appears that they tend to run the bulbs a little harder than other electronic mh ballasts but a little less than traditional mh ballasts
3. the cords that connect the ballast and the fixture have a unique connection harness with 5 connections in it. don't ask me why there are 5 connections in the harness. if you are thinking about connecting a geismann ballast to a non-geismann fixture you may run into some trouble because of this unique connection harness unless you are good electrician and can figure it out.
4. i have not had any trouble with the light or the ballasts.
